Living in one of the oldest "clay" regions of Holland, the countryside of Milsbeek just south of Nijmegen is still
nowadays dotted with potteries - small workshops with their individuel firing techniques, glazes and decorations - often operated by husband and wife. Our workshop is specialized in utilitarian domestic ware, mostly
stoneware and porcelain, reduction fired, but also has the possibility of saltglazing for more unique, one of a kind ceramics, loved by collectors and made for exhibitions. Having had clay in the family since my
great-grandfather and after attending The Royal Academy of Art in s-Hertogenbosch(1973-1978) one can say this marvellous plastic material has really stuck to me.
So if you come and visit us: be careful: some might rub on you! |
