My study as a graphic-designer at the Royal Academy of Art in Den Bosch is the base for my ceramics-work.
Just like paper, clay lends itself to be folded, flattened and torn into a shape. In this fashion my work evolves into chairs, figures and animals.
The clay, rolled out to thin slabs cover, so to speak, a figure and give
it its body.
Themes I like are the Samurai, Atlantis, and the acrobatics of
Cirque du Solei.
